Emotions are energy in the body, present to help us through an experience and on to the next one. Emotions are not meant to stick around and be experienced for very long, and they will only stay until we get the message they are there to convey. However, all too often we store emotions in our bodies rather than fully experience them and let them go. This could mean feeling them over and over again as they get activated by thoughts and experiences (this is your subconscious way of trying to process them out) Eventually, when an emotion has nowhere to go, it will manifest into a physical issue, a pain, an injury, a chronic illness. But even at this stage, its still just energy that can be easily released when we embrace what it is there to show us. BodyTalk and Conscious Living Investigation are two tools I use regularly to help move stuck emotions that I can't understand or get through with only my conscious, thinking brain. And the best part is that I don't have to experience old emotions in order to let them go. My body can process them out without me *feeling* them all over again. Emotions only need to be experienced in the moment they are felt - thanks to our brilliant bodies and minds and consciousness tools like BodyTalk. #toolsforlife #bodytalksystem #cli #springbodytalk #emotions #consciousness #embracewhatis #energy #energeticshift #emotionalprocessing #physicalbody #feelings #inthemoment #storedemotions #flow #energyinmotion #awareness
1. Myofascia Is a 3D Matrix: it is continuous, spanning our organs, muscles, joints, bones and nerve fibers. 2. Fascia Is a Force Transmitter: Forces (internal and external) are transmitted and dispersed within the body mostly via the fascial network, reducing localized stress in a particular muscle, joint or bone. 3. Repetition Is Good and bad: fascia can remodel itself (become stiffer and denser) along lines of stress = short-term benefits and long-term consequences. Long-term repetition can make fascia stiffer along the line of stress, but weaker in other directions = higher frequency of tears in the fascia itself or immobility in the surrounding joints when moving in different directions. 4. Fascia Can Contract Myofibroblasts and mechanoreceptors (Golgi tendon organs, Ruffini endings, Paciniform endings) have also been found in the fascial matrix. They contribute to the smooth-muscle-like contractions and communicate with the central nervous system which helps with stability. 5. Fascia Can Act Independently of the Central Nervous System Fascia is always under tension as long as gravity is present = human resting myofascial tone. This low-level stabilizing component helps our posture and allows us to perform unconscious movements. 6. Mood Influences Fascia Our emotions are stored within the body, including the connective tissue. Emotions travel through the fascial web. We then interpret the physiological sensation as anger, affection, love... Physical work will only partially treat an injury unless we recognize that there may be an emotional origin. #fascia #connectivetissue #movement #emotions #biokinetics #metaphysical #yoga #strength #mobility #stability #healing #health #unconsciousness #storedemotions #energy @shane_litvin
Day 22 of TAOCH: Foam Rollers Have you tried a foam roller? These are the two I have. I got the knobbly one on sale but soon realized that it was too intense for most of my body just yet (with the exception being getting those knots at the base of my skull - those ridges work wonders there). But for us, as we're adventuring into our root chakras, we'll be rolling out our legs (if you choose to try this part of the adventure 😉). Specifically, our calf muscles, shin muscle (tibialis anterior for the anatomy geeks) hamstrings, quads, and our iliotibial band (outside of the thighs). These muscles/ligament could be very tender. Expect rolling out your muscles to be uncomfortable. Breath the entire time. Be gentle with yourself - you don't have to dig in. This uses your own body weight so you can control how deep you go by propping yourself up. Along with feeling your muscles release tension, you could feel the release to stored emotions. Breath. And know you are loved from afar. I'll be sharing some foam rolling examples in my stories a little later on. Happy Sunday, Love.
I have been working so hard to open through my hips and open up my Svadhisthana (Sacral) Chakra. This Chakra is located in the low back near the sexual organs. It represents our sexuality, emotions, pleasure, creativity and sensations. This can be become blocked if we have been sexually assaulted, disconnected from our sexuality or unclear on how to pleasure our own self. Luckily we have Yoga to help us clear these blockages. Doing a deep, hip opening flow and sending our breath to our low back can help move energy around here. Also just give yourself so much love for brining up these stored emotions in the hips. The hips carry so many emotions so if you have an urge to cry or release let it go my loves. You deserve to free yourself. #sacralchakra #svadhisthana #yoga #yogi #healingwithyoga #yogawithkennedy #hipopening #storedemotions #healing #hope #change #yogainspiration #yoga #love #yogaislife #grow #chakras #open #expansion #cry #freeyourself #beyourself #grateful
Pigeon pose or Eka Pada Rajakapotadana in Sanskrit in Forrest Yoga this evening with @alis_yoga . Such a juicy #asana for hips & psoas. Stretching out your glutes here is such a great release, as we typically hold a lot of unconscious tension and old emotions here. How do we store old emotions in the hips I hear 👂 you ask? Think of what you do when you feel angry, lots of us clench the jaw. This same action of clenching happens in your hip when we feel threatened or hear bad news. Our natural response to stress is to bend forward and raise our knees up into a fetal position to protect our core. This action uses the hips and when these muscles have been clenched tightly they can shorten and the full tension never fully released so it not only traps muscular tension, but also emotional tension as well. Stretching the hip muscles will cause a release and allow emotion to escape. This is one of the wonders of yoga and we ❤️ it!

It is so important for us to know the value of understanding, lifting and increasing our emotional health. Emotions are so powerful, we process them throughout the whole body. It is so much more than "are you happy? Are you sad?" What info is being carried within your body?
Just over here rolling this all over the back of my neck and on my wrists. . I didn't like this roller bottle when I first smelled it. It was somewhat triggering for me and therefore I chose to stay away from it. . I've been researching and following protocol for releasing emotions with the use of essential oils and I'm proud to say this smell doesn't bother me and I actually kind of love it now. . #ptsdrecovery #releasingstoredemotions #nomore
🔺The other day, something really cool happened. A married couple in my building were selling a few furniture items before their move, and I went upstairs to check them out. I fell in love with one piece, and they helped me carry it down to my apartment. 🏡 〰 🔺The wife had lost her voice from strep throat, and something urged me to talk to her about stored emotions in the body. I half-jokingly asked her where in her life she was not speaking her truth. As they kindly helped me bring down my new piece of furniture, I started talking to her about some of the holistic remedies I use when someone in my family gets sick. I suggested she make herself an Apple Cider Vinegar and raw honey tea: My go-to immune defense as soon as a sore throat or allergies start kicking in. 👊🙅🏻 〰 🔺Raw honey is such an incredibly healing ingredient, and has been used for thousands of years to heal ailments in the body. (Ancient Egyptians used to use it on their battle wounds!) It's also anti-fungal, anti-septic, aids with digestion and is packed with nutrients that can help the body restore its natural state. Apple cider vinegar has so many incredible benefits, including also being anti-fungal and anti-bacterial, but perhaps one of the most important benefits in this case are its steep number of probiotics, and since health starts and ends in the gut, it was so important for her to restore her good gut bacteria during this time. She had just started antibiotics, which, sometimes we do end up turning to for a last minute resort. If you don't know, the problem with antibiotics is that they not only kill the bad bacteria causing the infection, but they also kill your defense system of good bacteria as well. So if you don't work on restoring your good bacteria, your immune system is now weakened, opening itself up for a WHOLE ARRAY of other illnesses. 😞 〰 🔺So the entire time I'm with this couple, I felt strongly compelled to go on and on about holistic approaches to healing, and I even went as far as giving this woman a to-go container of my raw honey. 🍯 😂 My thought process is never to force anyone to do anything, but to share my knowledge. And who wants to... Sexual Abuse Ritual Abuse. . That's what SARA stands for. The whole reason that I talk and share about oils is because of this bottle right here. . I am thankful every single day for being introduced to this oil. It may seem silly that an oil can benefit those struggling in this area but the part of the brain that stores trauma is activated by the sense of smell. . I use oils more for the emotional benefits than anything else. Yes they help with seasonal issues and so much more but did you know the root of almost everything we deal with can be linked to an emotion. Why not address those first? . I physically feel better than I ever have and I know 100% without a doubt it's because of this oil and a few others that I use daily to keep myself level. . #emotionalsupport #sara #sexualabuse
On Day 11 of 30 Days of GRATITUDE I want to congratulate you for the work you did on yesterday's task. It was definitely a challenging one and I had a number of people message me to tell me just that. ✍🏻 To me it felt like releasing stored & pent up energy. I've made some acceptances and will aim to complete my list of 3 in my journal today. ✍🏻 • Why/how did they come into your life in the first place? • What life lesson have they taught you? . . . #youcandothis #moveforward #appreciate
With this full moon 🌕 being about letting go of that which does not serve you, I've been focusing on releasing stored emotions. So many crazy and scary dreams! Apparently I'm only ready to release these emotions in my sleep, but it's a healthy step forward. Emotions are stored in our bodies, so don't think you're over it or can just let it go, no, it stays forever until released. Witness it, allow it, release it. #fullmoon #feelittohealit #storedemotions #movingtothenextlevel #releasewhatdoesntserveyou
Live as you learn might be a little note for my self by now, since I don't think you are supposed to crash with flu every 4 months. I'm a firm believer in listening to the body's different ways of communicating but my problem is that I ignore the whispering only to be floored by the screaming. Still. With all my experience.. I should really know better. I dreamt a few nights ago that I, during an appointment with my (weird ☺) chiropractor, looked out the window. The reason for treatment was dizziness, but my newfound problem was that the world outside the windows kept spinning like a rollercoaster on steroids.. Trees and houses flying past. I woke up weak and with nausea and four days later I'm still not sure if my inner or outer world is spinning too fast.. Literally feels like the earth changed orbit and I'm sea sick. I did get something like the flu, but I also know my body's got another message. I'm going to find out what. Calm down, find focus and work less could be a hint I guess.

I can't remember where I first heard this statement but I agree. How you do anything is how you do everything. . Do you pay attention to details? Would you say you did your best? Do you rush over things? Do you care? What do you care about? Your self? Your health? The planet? Do you have goals? Do you reach them, or do you just almost? . The more I study people, and my self, the more I believe in the above. There seem to be a read thread. Personality of course, but also attitude. And your movement pattern will most likely confirm that too. The way you work, will be the way you explore, challenge, inspire, rest, focus, relax move and create too. Then, there is of course why we do it, the way we do it. . As I movement coach I pay attention to this. I don't teach people how to run, I teach them awareness of movement. So if you learn to walk less aggressively, does that mean you find yourself expressing less anger? Most likely, yes! . . Rörelse är ett uttryck helt enkelt! Hur rör du dig? Hur mår du? Hur uttrycker du dig?
My firsthand experience of medical evidence showing how emotions create disease! An indicator as to whether ovarian cancer is present in the body is a CA125 blood test. Once I had finished chemo I chose not to have anymore blood tests as intuitively I knew I was healed. Just over 12 months ago I got a new male gynaecologist who wanted me to have blood tests done. I explained to him that I was choosing not to have these CA125 blood tests done. "Oh no, you need to have them done". He said. Once again I told him I didn't want to do that. By the third time that he was forcibly saying to me I needed a blood test and was also writing out a form for me to take to the laboratory I started to get furious. I picked up that form and left his rooms. I sat with that form for 2 days fuming as I had not been heard. Then I thought to myself ... "Well, I will show him!". And off I went for the test. 10 days later my GP rang and said "Has anyone told you your blood results." "No" I replied. There there was silence and finally she replied ...... "Oh, they have shot up again". I was furious and devastated at the same time. This wasn't meant to happen. Following this revelation I was scheduled to visit my oncologist and he wanted to start me on chemo straight away. I knew that I had allowed a man to overpower me and gone against my own intuitive knowing and not do what was right for me. So I said to the oncologist "I will be back in 3 months time and we will see how my CA125 marker is then". Reluctantly he agreed. Over those 3 months I continued my Healing Journey and working on doing what was right for me without allowing myself to be overpowered. You guessed it ....... 3 months later my CA125 results had dropped right down again. The medical people were at a loss to explain how that could happen but I knew. Every time we have a suppressed emotion we store that in our bodies and over time this can develop into disease. I had been given firsthand knowledge of that happening. #storedemotions #powerful #suppressedemotions #healdisease #healcancer #findyourpower #listentoyourintuition #onlyyouknow #loveyourself#

Part two of hip day: #fireflypose ▶️ I aim to lengthen & flatten my spine whilst maintaining the legs behind the shoulders. Quite frankly there is so much going on in this pose, I don't feel many benefits compared to other supine or seated hip openers. Perhaps when I get deeper into the pose ...
Hip day 1 and I feel happy, upbeat and energetic again. There is something about #hipopeners that gets to the core of who you are and it opens and kicks out all accumulated sh*t (literally too)!! Anywho...this little move is something I concocted one day and it's my crown jewel hip work. It may not be noticeable but once my leg is lifted, all following moves are done with hip rotation, the lifted leg externally then Internally rotates as I descend. My hip flexors work hard to keep the leg lifted until my hip reaches the ground. I'm rocking 🙏🏼
Chiropractors and body workers are successful in helping you release stored emotions. Your spine is the centre of your core and carries much of your energy and emotions. Sciatica can mean critical thinking, and a fear of money and the future. Neck related pain can be linked to stubbornness and flexibility and a lack of forgiveness of self and others. Your body is amazing. But it needs you to pay attention to its many cries for help. Your body movement is reflective of your inner world'. Core emotions such as anger, grief and inflexibility are not here to punish us. Emotions are messengers. #ourbodiesareamazing #chiropractic #bodywork #mindbodyspirit #metaphysical #storedemotions #makingadjustments #dna

Feeling great after our chiropractor appointment! We both go weekly to make sure we are aligned and feeling good. The first time I got adjusted after Adaline was born I had a rush of emotions. I believe I was holding on to a lot of anger.. not anything specific but I believe I never really feel anger and instead store it away in my body. Right before I got adjusted I was telling someone that I was never really angery..boy was I wrong after that adjustment.. my poor hubby 😉haha.. ive been looking into the way the body holds on to emotions and how it effects our health and find it SOOO interesting! It's good to feel those emotions and let them go! #chiropracticadjustment #storedemotions #aligningthebody #feelgood #mommyandmechiro

Today we had a 'Bee' day with our lovely home ed group. The children had a wonderful time playing with friends and learning new things but I did struggle with it. The bees work so hard for us to then take their honey. It doesn't sit right with me, even though the bees are not harmed. I'm tired after being up most of the night and being emotionally there for Eden, meltdown after meltdown. :-( I'm also feeling emotional about leaving such beautiful souls here in Devon and not wanting to say goodbye. Definitely need to work on myself and sort out a leaving home ceremony to do with the children to ensure we release any emotions stored here to start a fresh in our new home. I know I'm rambling.
