Gosh y’all...this crap is real. It comes from people who know you, think they know you, + people who don’t know you at all! It comes from insecure, immature, self-righteous people who believe they have a right to put down anyone who thinks different than them so they can feel better about themselves. It starts with adults, copied by children + mirrored by those who are not confident in themselves. Bullying is one of the most selfish things you can do. This week, I’ve been stalked, bullied online, shamed for my personal health process, + more...by people I know + people I don’t. And we wonder why the flipping heck we have kids bringing guns to school, bullying other children, + assaulting authority? Because the PARENTS who do this horrible entitled behavior out of their “right” are paving the way for their children to do whatever “feels good” to “follow your heart” to “get a medal for getting you disrespectful behind out of bed”! The same parents who whine + complain about bullying are often times the very ones who are turning to other adults + shaming, blaming, shutting down multiple perspectives PUBLICLY, because it doesn’t match their personal opinion! NO...it stops NOW! I won’t allow anyone to show that behavior around me + think there’s room for more. YOUR VOICE MATTERS! EVERYONE’s voice matters! God’s breath is inside you...that alone is power!! Dependency is a funny thing. I always told myself I wouldn't be one of those people. And actually earlier in my relationship I refused to allow someone to be dependent on me for their happiness so I really shut myself off from allowing to be loved. The tables have turned after lots of self-work and reflection and I am now the one wanting to make it work. And I have really lost myself in the process of putting all my energy toward something that hasn't been reciprocated for a really long time now.

Looking at this picture makes me feel a few things. Determined to carve my own path. It is a reminder that I am capable of being independent and strong. and it makes me happy that no matter what, I am never alone. Arlo, you have done it again. Thank you for coming into my life when you did.

To all of you out there that can't imagine your life without that special someone, I'm here for you. Codependency isn't healthy though. What is healthy is loving yourself and trusting that by doing the inner-work, your journey will unfold how it should. The universe has a funny way of giving us exactly what we need, even when it seems as if things can't be any more difficult. Everything has a deeper meaning, find the lesson, or at least trust that there is one.

It is true, we all have a default response on how we handle our emotions. We default to what is familiar and feels comfortable, even if that is pain or sadness. 
Here are the three most common default emotions and how to balance them:

1. When you default emotion is something that is pulling you down where you experience sadness, doubt, fear, and worry it will take you away from the joy that you have the potential to experience but are missing out on. 
When your mind shifts into the negative default of worry, doubt, shame, or sadness it is no longer living in the present and it is either holding onto the past or worrying about the future. The goal here is to shift the mind into the present. 
Worry, fear and self doubt can account for a great deal of lost time that we will never get back. Rather than feeling imprisoned by your emotions, you can set it free by recognizing when you are stepping into a default emotion. 
2. When your emotions are more reactive (when you feel like you are constantly putting your foot in your mouth you may be responding with a default emotion and not allowing your mind the time or space to think and process There is a protection or defense that comes into play,which inhibits the ability to see the logic of what is transpiring. At this time your brain is assuming the response before it has gather the facts.

This is when you want to hit the pause button. If need be, walk away and write down the thoughts that are coming to your mind before acting on them. Then give yourself time to speak to each of them and write down what you are feeling.You will be able to process your thoughts logically and differentiate fact from assumption.

With practice, eventually you will be able to react accordingly without stepping away but just like anything else it is a practice.

3. When your emotions are masked and not your own (AKA People-Pleasers / lack of boundaries) It is important when you feel yourself shutting down and simply doing, to avoid confrontation or disappointment that you reflect on your own personal needs. 
Be aware if you are simply doing or saying yes so that you are liked, needed or simply don't rock the boat. (Continued below)

I think the greatest wound we've all experienced is somehow being rejected for being our our authentic self. And as a result of that, we then try to be what we're not to get approval, love, protection, safety, money, whatever. And the real need for all of us is to reconnect with the essence of who we really are and re-own all the disowned parts of ourself whether it's our emotions, whether it's our spirituality. We all go around hiding parts of ourself. Just be yourself. But be all of you. 
And how do we do that?

By working on ourselves.
