It's not a video of me as you see on a regular basis.

It's not one of the few client posts I do when one of my clients hits a huge weight at a competition, or when they are in their peaking phase of a competition prep.

What this is, is a 5 week squat comparison from @mrzanlee after his first phase of training.
⠀
The first video is his session today where he squatted 125kg x 4 reps, he did 4 sets of this followed by 3x9 with 95kg.

Slide ⬅️ to see our first session together 5 weeks ago where he hit a max of 130kg after some initial technique changes.

In just a short 5 weeks, after working consistently on the technical changes implemented and accumulating volume, Zan is squatting just 5kg shy of his max for multiple sets and reps with a much prettier technique.

I couldn't be happier with his progress and next week, we will be hitting his 130kg max for the same sets and reps that were performed today.

The Eva Chronicles, Part 3 ✌🏽☝🏽😆. See last two posts for cues- the only difference here is that we are trying to extend the legs out to the sides with FULL lockout of the knee- very tough, especially when you’re trying to stay upright. This particular movement is probably a bit too advanced for Eva right now, but we have it the old college try 🙂🌷. Use your hands as spotters, but master the previous two movements first and work on your restrictions. We all have them folks, so give yourselves a break and just put the work in- no sense in complaining about things when you have the ability to do something about it. Consider yourselves lucky that you have full use of your bodies when many out there do not. Perspective is key in training and in life. Shut up. Put the work in. Rinse. I had an off week.
Started off strong, fell off at the end and struggled to get back up after the fall.
Life ebbs and flows, and something I am working on is adapting to the motions.
I get so hard on myself when I am not at my peak, and that’s the truth I don’t always show you.
But it’s important to be transparent—there is infinite strength in vulnerability.
So yes, I beat myself up. I talk down to myself, second guess my actions, I start to think I’m “not good enough,” I wallow in guilt and regret, I allow negativity to define my circumstance and thus distance myself from the things that make me, me.
While I have been operating from such a low, dense space, tomorrow I am going to wake up and take ownership of myself and happiness.
I am going to wake up early because I vibrate higher on days I do yoga and read my belief cards before I do anything else.
I am going to eat a lot of delicious, nutritiously dense foods throughout the week because my body feels strong, lean and healthy when I eat well. 
I am going to marry my words to action by committing to the steps necessary to meet my goals.
I am going to be my best self so that I may live my best life.
Yes— there will always be a flow.
It’s about finding YOUR flow.
It’s about taking what you learn WITH you, UP and OUT of the pit each time you fall down.
You are not always going to feel your best.
But you can always choose how you react to your feelings.
Do not try to avoid life by hiding from your fear. Confront the emotions— question what you have to learn from them and allow yourself the experience. You will always come out stronger than you went in.
A note to myself and to all of you: all seasons of your soul are worthy, even the most cold and dark.
Don’t hate yourself through the rough hands you’re dealt— love yourself so much that you can appreciate the bad times because in any present moment, you are learning.
You can take your experience with those feelings and react in a way that serves your highest good.
It’s okay to “fall off” — whatever that means to you.
It’s okay to fall off because every time you do, it’s a chance to tap into your own power and show yourself how strong you are to rise back up again.
